Coconut milk Biryani
Ingredients
1 cup coconut milk
Chicken
1 sp turmeric
1 sp garam masala
1 tbs chili powder
Salt
1/4 cup curd
1 tomato
1 inch ginger
5 garlic
1 sp sombu
kalpasi
1 mace
2 star anise
1 inch cinnamon
3 cloves
3 cardamom
15 small onion
4 green chili
1/2 cup kothamalli
1/2 cup pudina
1 regular onion
2 bay leaves
Directions
Marinate chicken with turmeric, garam masala , salt , curd and chili powered
In a kadai add ghee and fennel, kalpasi and mace
Add star anise, cinnamon , cardamom and cloves
Add small onion, ginger and garlic and fry
Add 4 green chili
Add tomato, kothamalli and pudina
Grind it to a paste
In a kadai add ghee, bay leave and onion till golden brown
Add the ground paste and sauté well till water is done
Add the marinated chicken and fry for 5 min
Add Coconut mil and water and bring to boil
Add coriander leaves
Add rice and cook till done
